Welcome to WWLA, Max McKellar

We’re delighted to welcome Max McKellar to the WWLA team! Max joined us in September 2026 as a Graduate Environmental Scientist.

Max holds a Master’s in Environmental Science with Distinction from the University of Canterbury, where his research focused on agricultural soil remediation. While completing his thesis, he also gained valuable hands-on experience through a scholarship with Babbage Consultants.

Max brings a great analytical background to the team, with key strengths in experimental design and statistical analysis. His unique skill set allows him to work across both the Water Resources and Contaminated Land teams. He’s already making a big impact in the field, traveling to sites nationwide.

Outside of work, Max is happiest in the great outdoors. He’s a keen diver and hiker, a history and natural science enthusiast, and enjoys spending his downtime writing and practising photography.

We’re thrilled to have Max on board and look forward to seeing the contribution he’ll make at WWLA. Please join us in giving him a warm welcome!
