Heading 2
TANK SOURCE Catchment Model
Client: Hawkes Bay Regional Council
Project Overview
This was a joint collaborative project between WWLA and Hawkes Bay Regional Council. The core objective was to support a review of the regional policies that manage land and water resources within the greater Heretaunga and Ahuriri management zone, also known as the ‘TANK’ Catchment.
Technical Solutions
The main technical solution was the development of a daily hydrological and water quality model. This complex simulation tool was built within the SOURCE modelling framework to accurately represent the catchment’s processes.
Client
The key outcome for Hawkes Bay Regional Council was the delivery of a powerful modelling tool. This model provides the council with the essential technical evidence and predictive capabilities required to review, test and inform regional water management policy.
