Senior Environmental Geologist

Beth joined WWLA's Bay of Plenty-based team in September 2025 as a Senior Environmental Geologist. She holds an MSc in Geology from Oregon State University and a BA (Hons) in Geoscience and International Studies from the University of Iowa.

Beth has worked across geothermal energy, environmental/engineering, research, tourism and public land management in both New Zealand and the United States. She is experienced in geological interpretation, subsurface modelling, and technical reporting.

Beth enjoys tackling complex subsurface and environmental challenges, especially where geology, water, and land-use intersect. She values working in multidisciplinary teams and delivering practical, science-backed outcomes.

Outside of work, Beth is a keen but unremarkable long-distance runner, volunteers in her local community, and shares her home with two very opinionated cats.
