Intermediate Hydrogelogist
Duran (DJ) is a Hydrogeologist with specialist expertise in contaminant hydrogeology, gained primarily on the west coast, USA. He has a BSc. in Environmental Science from Griffith University (Aus) and has been an environmental consultant since 2018, joining WWLA in 2023.
Duran has provided environmental consulting services for numerous US government agencies. His services specialised in hydrogeological investigation and remediation of light non-aqueous phase liquids (LNAPL) and dense non-aqueous phase liquids (DNAPL), soil vapour intrusion studies, and various water resources projects.
Since joining WWLA, Duran has performed assessment of environmental effects from groundwater abstractions, hydric soil and hydrology tool assessments of potential wetland sites, and groundwater modelling with MODFLOW user the GMS interface.
Duran also enjoys surfing, waka ama, fishing and archery.
