We are extremely excited and proud to be selected for this project. Our Managing Director Jon Williamson has been actively involved in water resource projects in Northland for the past 20 years and says "this is a great opportunity to assist local communities struggling to get ahead by assessing the potential to use some of the natural capital Tai Tokerau is blessed with in a sustainable manner".
We entitled the project ‘Ngā Mahi A Wai Māori’, which refers in the main to the analogy of the workings of Wai Māori and how the overall intention of the project is focused on understanding the resource of water and how it facilitates community wellbeing. This leads to the whakatauaki (proverb) being the need for water to allow the plant/world to flourish.
