As the year comes to a close, we would like to share some milestones and celebrate our amazing team here at WWLA.
2024 was a busy year, with the company welcoming 6 new starters. In the Auckland office, Becki Williamson started in a full-time role in January and was joined by Asanka Thilakerthne in February, Jack Breitowich in June, Ben Laeuchil in August and Raffe Mahon in October. In the Bay of Plenty office, we welcomed Brooke James in July. We also have two summer interns join us, Benji Williamson and Rosa Hollister.
We celebrated 3-year anniversaries for Cherise Martin and Laila Alkamil and 5-year anniversaries for Aimee Wansbone and Lauren Windross. Three of our graduates; Brooke James, Mya Mobberley and Becki Williamson attended their graduation ceremonies from their respective universities.
We had 3 new shareholders to the company in April, Laila Alkamil from the Planning Team, Jennie Haines from the Operations Team and Cherise Martin from the Contaminated Land Team. We also celebrated the birth of Clara in December, the daughter of our Auckland-based hydrologist Jaide Derbyshire and her partner Jack.
We had some incredible project wins and worked with so many great clients over the year. We wanted to say a huge thank you to both our precious clients, and our team for all their incredible work this year and wish them a well-deserved break with their families.
