We are pleased to welcome Edda Kalbus to our team. Edda joined us from the Auckland Council where she worked in the Research and Evaluation Unit for the past 2.5 years. Prior to that she taught Hydrogeology at the German University of Technology in Oman and undertook research on seawater intrusion in coastal agricultural areas. Edda holds a BSc in Civil Engineering, a MSc in Environmental and Resource Management, and a PhD in Hydrogeology. Her PhD research focussed on measuring and modelling groundwater-surface water interactions. The photo is from a recent site visit to the Kaituna and Rangitaiki catchments in the Bay of Plenty region, for which WWA are currently developing integrated catchment models.
