WWLA Welcomes Beth Murphy

WWLA would like to welcome Beth Murphy to the Bay of Plenty office.

Beth joined WWLA in September 2025 as an Environmental Geologist, with a MSc in Geology from Oregon State University and a BA (Hons) in Geoscience and International Studies from the University of Iowa.  Interestingly, Beth makes our second staff member from Oregon State University. 

Beth moved to New Zealand in 2015 and loved it so much she is now a Kiwi citizen.

Beth has nearly a decade of professional experience across the geothermal energy and environmental/engineering fields in both New Zealand and the United States.  In addition, Beth has several years of experience in research, tourism and public land management in the United States and here in New Zealand.
